Man admits possessing child porn images

The 39-year-old man admitted 20 charges of possessing objectionable material when he appeared before Judge Anthony Walsh in the Blenheim District Court yesterday.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Graham Single said police carried out a search warrant on the man's house on July 13.

"Police seized three laptops and storage devices which contained a total of 1222 images of an objectionable nature.

"A forensic analysis of the defendant's computer revealed searching and downloading history of child pornography."
