Newsflash! Taking a step to help children

Kate Medlicott & Friend Tim Geaney had been contemplating walking the length of New Zealand for a cause but were uncertain about what to support. After viewing the item the issue was no longer in doubt! The two Otago University students are now planning to walk from Bluff to Cape Reinga to draw attention to the prevention of sexual exploitation of children. Kate and Tim are prepared to walk an estimated 2,500 kms between November 2010 and January 2011. Kate says “We estimate taking 5 million steps for children. We invite you to take just one step and help us with your sponsorship or donation to go to ECPAT Child Alert in their effort to stop child sex abuse.” If you can help contact us on office@ecpat.org.nz.
