The First local campaign with The Body Shop begins 3rd August with the launch of the 'Soft hand Kind Heart Hand Cream'. Money raised with the sales of this product will be given to ECPAT Child Alert to help fund both global campaigns and locally led projects.
ECPAT NZ has a working relationship with Childwise Australia and with their support conducted a pilot series of workshops themed "Choose with Care" at the end of 2007. The courses provide practical tools on establishing a safe environment for children and will be be further extended to a large scale "Child Safe Organisations" program in the near future.
Child sex tourists come from all walks of life; they may be married or single, male or female, wealthy tourists or budget travellers. They may be paedophiles travelling specifically to exploit children to travellers who do not plan their trip with the intention of abusing a child…
