CSEC is the sexual exploitation of a person under 18-years-old where they are coerced, forced, or deceived into being involved in sexualised activities with a commercial aspect, whether online or offline

The sexual exploitation of children in New Zealand and around the world has become ubiquitous. It is important to understand that it is not simply the victim/survivor and perpetrator involved in exploitative situations; wider systemic and social issues are what create an environment that both facilitates and is conducive to trafficking and exploitation.

As we strive to combat this issue, we require overall social change to, as a society, prevent all forms of exploitation of children.
