About This Training Event

Join us for a free seminar aimed at helping anyone working with children and young people who may be victims or survivors of commercial sexual exploitation to recognise and respond to this issue.

We will cover:

  • what commercial sexual exploitation of children looks like in Aotearoa
  • survival sex, grooming, online exploitation, risk factors
  • barriers to disclosure and identification
  • how sexual exploitation affects tamariki and rangatahi
  • trauma informed practice
  • the current legislative framework.

By attending this training, you will have an understanding of the way that commercial sexual exploitation impacts children in Aotearoa, and will be able to recognise and respond appropriately to instances of child sex trafficking and online exploitation.

This a great opportunity for frontline workers to gain free professional development.
