About This Training Event

Join ECPAT NZ for a 2-hour training aimed at frontline workers who interact with taiohi who may be victims or survivors of sexual exploitation. We’ll cover:

  • what sexual exploitation of children looks like in Aotearoa
  • key concepts and definitions
  • risk factors and what to look for
  • barriers to disclosure and identification
  • how sexual exploitation affects tamariki and rangatahi
  • trauma informed practice
  • the current legislative framework.

You will leave with an increased understanding of the realities and impacts of child sexual exploitation in Aotearoa, plus the confidence to recognise and respond safely to this issue.

This is a group training hosted by Kidz Social Services. We require all attendees to register for reporting purposes.

As part of this training, you receive free access to our online self-led foundational course on online sexual exploitation. Please follow the link in your registration confirmation email to complete this course before the live workshop.

Ngā mihi nui.
