Nicolas Miller’s suicide attempt revealed his severe addiction to child exploitation material, possessing over 14,000 objectionable items. He confessed to the police, calling it a “cry for help” and expressing fear his addiction could lead to contact offending. While acknowledging his distress, the judge stressed this didn’t excuse his crimes. Miller was sentenced to 3.5 years imprisonment and registered as a child sex offender.
