Westport man jailed for NZ’s largest collection of child abuse images

A Westport man, Graeme Bruce King (66), has been sentenced to 4 years and 9 months in prison for possessing New Zealand’s largest known collection of child abuse material – over 2.5 million images and videos collected over 40 years. Following an FBI tip, police raided his home in 2022. Judge O’Driscoll condemned the scale, graphic nature, and duration of the offending, stressing it fuels the abuse and exploitation of children and is not victimless.
