About This Training Event

We provide in-house and public training to governmental and non-governmental organisations and frontline professionals on identifying and responding to the sexual exploitation of children in Aotearoa. We have years of experience in delivering workshops that are sector-relevant and facilitated by expert staff who are informed by research done within the Aotearoa context.

Our training generally covers:

  • what sexual exploitation of children looks like in Aotearoa
  • types of in-person and online exploitation such as survival sex, grooming, child sexual abuse material, and trafficking
  • risk factors and what to look for
  • barriers to disclosure and identification
  • how sexual exploitation affects tamariki and rangatahi
  • trauma informed practice
  • the current legislative framework.

We can tailor our training to the needs of specific sectors such health workers, police, educators etc. and also welcome running cross-sector training that enables in-person connections and common understandings between attendees. Some courses will include access to a digital pre-learning course that provides a thorough introduction to the issue, in addition to a kanohi-ki-te-kanohi training or webinar.

Note: Thanks to local COGS funding, for a limited time we’re able to offer significantly reduced training rates to ensure accessibility for local NGOs and community workers in some areas of Aotearoa. We will let you know if you’re eligible for this discount.

Please get in touch with your group details below and we’ll get back to you!
